Travel Insurance
Travel insurance policies exist in most countries. We recommend that you purchase travel insurance at your own expense for your own safety and security. Please ensure that such insurance covers you during your journey to Japan in the event of any emergency.

Health Check
The School of Engineering encourages all applicants to realize the importance of maintaining good health while studying at the University of Tokyo.
Every October and April, the University of Tokyo provides you with an opportunity for a physical and medical check-up after enrolment. Please be responsible for your physical health and take advantage of this opportunity. The schedule will be provided at the orientation by the School of Engineering.
Health and Safety
You need to apply for National Health Insurance at the municipal office in the city or ward of your residence in order to receive health benefits.
